Primary Uses

This medicine is used in the management of allergies.

Side Effects

Patients administered with this medication may commonly experience drowsiness (Abnormally sleepy), dizziness (lightheadedness), headache, fatigue, anticholinergic effects (constipation, dry mouth, and blurred vision), hyperexcitability in children, and photosensitivity. Other serious side effects include convulsions (Involuntary fast, jerky movements with loss of consciousness) and extrapyramidal reactions.

Contraindications

This medication is not to be used in comatose patients and patients with CNS depression (suppressed brain activity)
