Precautions
Hypertension (high blood pressure, monitor BP regurarly, pulmonary edema (excess fluid in the lungs), high output cardiac failure (heart failure), right sided heart failure due to pulmonary embolism (blockage in pulmonary arteries), left ventricular heart failure, liver impairment, cataract surgery (surgery of eye lens), risk of priapism (prolonged erection) seek immediate medical assistance. History of postural hypotension (low blood pressure), and micturition syncope (fainting after urination, chronic UTI or bladder stones, severe liver impairment. Severe oesophagel or GI obstruction. What are the uses of this medicine? This medicine is used to treat high blood pressure and symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia). Is this medicine a blood thinner? No, this medicine is not a blood thinner. What do I do if I miss a dose? If you miss a dose, try taking it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose. Kindly do not double your dose to “catch up”. Can I stop taking this medicine as soon as I feel better? It is best to continue using this medicine for the time prescribed. Kindly consult your physician before you stop taking this drug.
