Contraindications

This medicine is contraindicated in the case of hypersensitivity to ibuprofen, aspirin or any other NSAID. It is also contraindicated in the case of active bleeding, severe kidney impairment, gastrointestinal disorders, life threatening infections, thrombocytopenia (low levels of platelets) and other coagulation disorders, necrotising enterocolitis (severe infection of colon), high billirubinemia (high levels of billirubin in the blood), liver diseases and congenital heart diseases.

Indications

The extensive use of ibuprofen may cause stomach upset and bleeding, skin rash, thrombocytopenia (low platelet count) and rarely aseptic meningitis (inflammation of membrane covering the brain) If you experience any of these symptoms please consult your doctor. Other side effects include nausea, flatulence, vomiting, headache and infusion site pain.

Warnings

This medicine is used to relieve pain in condition such as headaches, migraines, arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, muscle pain, and menstrual cramps. It can also be used to treat symptoms of fever and soft tissue injuries.
