Warnings

Pregnancy
No evidence of risk of damage in humans has been found to date, hence, it can be used but with caution.

Lactation
This medicine is contraindicated in lactating mothers.

Driving
Please avoid driving when taking this medicine as it may affect your ability to drive.

Precautions
It should be used with caution in metabolic acidosis, 1st degree AV block, having history of severe cardiac disease, hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid), diabetes, hypotension (decrease blood pressure), severe peripheral circulatory disorder, corneal disease & dry eye. Cardiac function should be monitored following filtration procedures. And should withdraw gradually.

Expert Advice

This medicine is indicated in ocular hypertension (increased pressure inside the eye), chronic open angle glaucoma (a form of eye disease), secondary glaucoma.

Side Effects

It is contraindicated in asthma, history of OPD (obstructive pulmonary disorder), sinus bradycardia (slow, regular heartbeat), sick sinus syndrome (inability of the heart’s natural pacemaker), sino-atrial block, 2nd or 3rd degree AV block & in uncompensated cardiac failure.
