Warnings

Pregnancy
Studies done to date have not shown any harmful effects, however, it is recommended to consult your healthcare provider for advise. 

Lactation
This medication may be safe for lactating females. However, it is recommeded to consult your healthcare provider for further advise. 

Precautions
Caution is advised in people with cardiovascular disorders, diabetes, long history of hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency (a condition where the adrenal gland is unable to producesufficient steroid hormone), and in aged people.

Expert Advice

It is used either as a replacement or supplement to hormone thyroxine in hypothyroidism patients for pituitary TSH suppression (a condition where pituitary gland-a small gland located in the brain, fails to produce hormone TSH).

Side Effects

Its use is prohibited in thyrotoxicosis (a condition with an excessive amount of thyroid hormone in the body).
