Primary Uses

Carboplatin is indicated for treating various cancers such as, ovarian, lung, endometrium (lining of uterus), esophageal, breast, head and neck, bladder, cervical, osteogenic sarcoma etc.

Side Effects

Some patients might experience stomach upset, Neurologic toxicity (toxic substances in nervous system), Myelosuppression (decreased bone marrow activity), or Nephrotoxicity (toxic substances effecting kidney function). Please consult your doctor if you have any of these symptoms.

Contraindications

Please consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you have severe renal (kidney) impairment, myelosuppression (decreased bone marrow activity), or severe allergy to platinum components or mannitol.
