Primary Uses
This medication is to be given in the treatment and prevention of mild to moderate dehydration associated with diarrheal disorders of multiple causes, and acute gastrointestinal disorders resulting in diarrhea and vomiting. The rice powder is used for fluid and electrolyte loss associated with acute diarrhea.
Side Effects
Patients usually don’t have any side effets. Some dizziness may occur.
Contraindications
Patients with severe renal (kidney) impairment.
