Pregnancy
Filgrastim should only be used during pregnancy when absolutely necessary . Pregnant females should  consult their doctors about the hazards and benefits of Filgrastim.

Lactation
Filgrastim enters breast milk and can have adverse effects on a nursing baby. Lactating females should consult their doctor before using Filgrastim.

Driving
Filgrastim may have a minimal impact on driving abilities since after the administration of Filgrastim, dizziness can occur.

Liver
People with liver diseases should consult their doctors before using Filgrastim.

Kidney
People with kidney diseases should consult their doctors before using Filgrastim.

Alcohol
It is uncertain if there is any interaction of Filgrastim with alcohol. It is best to consult your doctor before using Filgrastim.

Precautions

Because of the higher risk of splenic rupture, Filgrastim must be used cautiously. Patients who get stomach or shoulder tip pain when taking this medicine must consult their doctor right away. Based on the clinical situation, your doctor may recommend you to discontinue Filgrastim.
In rare situations, Filgrastim has been demonstrated to induce Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Before taking any medicine, evaluate the benefits and risks with your doctor. Priority should be given to reporting any fever or respiratory distress signs to a doctor. Depending on the clinical state, replacement with an appropriate alternative may be required.
Because of the higher risk of severe and life-threatening responses, Filgrastim is not advised for usage in patients with sickle cell disease history. Before taking any medicine, evaluate the benefits and risks with your doctor. Depending on the clinical state, replacement with an appropriate alternative may be required.

How To Use

This medicine is indicated in bone marrow transplant patients or those who have received cytotoxic therapy to reduce the duration of neutropenia (decreased white blood cells) in them.

Side Effects

Patients using this medicine may at times experience headaches, anorexia (eating disorder), and bone pain. If you experience any of these symptoms for a long period of time, consult your doctor immediately.
