- NarcolepsyThis medicine promotes wakefulness in patients with excessive daytime sleepiness caused by narcolepsy, a condition in which there are irregularities in the sleep-wake cycle.
- Obstructive Sleep Apnea/Hypopnea Syndrome (OSAHS)This medicine is used for patients with sleeping disorders like Obstructive Sleep Apnea, a condition where the breathing stops for a short period of time or the breathing is shallow, leading to a lack of sleep at night and daytime sleepiness.
- Shift work sleep disorderThis medicine is used to reduce excessive sleepiness in those who do not have a sleeping schedule due to the changes in the shifts of work.

Allergy
This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Evigil tablet 100 mg 20’s or its related compounds or any other components present with it.
Warnings

Pregnancy
This medicine is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. The risks and benefits should be discussed with the doctor before taking this medicine.

Breast-feeding
This medicine is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless absolutely necessary. If the medicine is used, close monitoring of the infant for any undesired effects is necessary. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding or to discontinue the drug based on your clinical condition.

Severe hepatic impairment
The dose should be reduced to half of the normal dose in patients with severe hepatic impairment. A normal dose may cause severe side effects in such patients.

Dizziness
This medicine may not completely cure the sleepiness caused by your disorder. This may cause drowsiness or dizziness. It is advised that you do not perform any activities that require high mental alertness like driving a vehicle or operating machinery during treatment with this medicine.

Consumption of alcohol
Do not consume alcohol during treatment with Evigil tablet 100 mg 20’s due to the increased risk of drowsiness, dizziness, and impaired judgment.

Grapefruit or grapefruit juice
Consumption of grapefruit or grapefruit juice is not recommended during treatment with this medicine since the combination may decrease the effects of Evigil tablet 100 mg 20’s .

Sports
It is advised that you do not indulge in sports during treatment with this medicine. Sportspersons should refer to the list published by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) for medicines which should not be taken while participating in specific sports events.

Missed Dose
If a dose of Evigil tablet 100 mg 20’s is missed, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. If it is almost time for the next dose, continue with the normal dosing schedule. Do not double your dose to make up for the forgotten dose. It is advised that you do not take this medicine if it is too late in a waking day since you may find it difficult to sleep at night.

Overdose
Seek emergency medical treatment or contact a doctor immediately in case of an overdose.
General Instructions
Strictly follow all the instructions on the label and take Evigil tablet 100 mg 20’s only as directed. Do not take more than what is prescribed or share this medication with other people. It is advised that you should inform the doctor about all the medicines or herbal products that you are using and about all your medical conditions before taking this medicine. Do not use this medicine in place of getting a good sleep and follow all the doctor’s instructions on good sleeping habits.

what are the adverse effects of Evigil tablet 100 mg 20’s?
Nervousness, excitation, aggression, insomnia, personality disorders, anorexia, headache, CNS stimulation, euphoria, GI upset, dry mouth, palpitations, tachycardia, hypertension, tremor, pruritus, buccofacial dyskinesia. Increase in alkaline phosphatase.
What happens if I miss a dose of Evigil tablet 100 mg 20’s?
Adults: 200-400 mg daily in two divided doses In the morning and at noon, or as a single dose in the morning. Elderly: Initially 100 mg daily: max 400 mg daily In absence of renal or hepatic impairment.
Children: Not recommended.
