Caution is advised in patients with kidney impairments Its contraindications include dialysis, high blood sugar, aluminum poisoning & chronic kidney disease stage 5 (failure). Also contraindicated in allergy with sucralfate. What are the uses of Sucralfate? This medication is used for treating and preventing ulcers (inflammation of the intestinal lining) of the intestines. It speeds up healing of the inflamed area and prevents further damage. How to take Sucralfate? It is advised to use it as prescribed by your health care provider. It may take 4 to 8 weeks for the ulcer to heal completely.
