Lactation
This medicine is not recommended for women who are breastfeeding.

Driving
Driving should be avoided while taking Interferon Alfa-2b, as it can make you feel dizzy.

Liver
Patients with decompensated liver disease (chronic liver disease) should consult their doctor before using Interferon Alfa-2b .

Kidney
Patients with impaired renal (kidney) function should consult their doctor before using Interferon Alfa-2b .

Alcohol
Consumption of alcohol should be avoided while taking Interferon Alfa-2b.

Precautions

Before taking Interferon Alfa-2b give your doctor the detailed medical history including any known allergies.
Inform your doctor about any medications that you take.
Older patients should use Interferon Alfa-2b only upon doctor’s consultation as it may cause some serious side effects in them.
Immediately consult your doctor if you experience any allergic reaction.
Patients with impaired liver and kidney function should consult their doctor before taking Interferon Alfa-2b. It is not recommended in severe renal (kidney), hepatic (liver) or myeloid (white blood cells or platelets) dysfunction, seizures or nervous system impairment. How long does it take for Interferon Alfa-2b to work? It takes about 3-12 hours after intramuscular administration and 30 minutes after intravenous administration to reach its peak effect.
