Precautions
Patients who are allergic to clotrimazole or any of its components should consult the doctor before taking it. If taking any vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products are taken then consult the doctor before using clotrimazole. If any sort of swelling is experienced, consult your doctor immediately. Using clotrimazole, especially in high concentrations, might result in a severe rash. This medicine is contraindicated in patients using barrier contraceptives (condoms, spermicides, cervical caps). Can I stop using this medcine if I feel better? The medicine should be applied ‘till the prescribed time. Stopping earlier might cause the infection to recur. Can I use this medicine when I am on my menstrual cycle? This medicine should be avoided when you are menstruating (on your period). Kindly consult your doctor for more information. What kind of clothes should I wear when I have applied this medicine? Try to wear loose cotton fabric to avoid irritating the area further. Will this medicine interfere with the use of condoms? Using this medicine might make the condom less effective.
