Pregnancy
Topiramate should only be used during  pregnancy if absolutely necessary. It has the potential to harm an unborn child. Pregnant females should consult their doctors for further information.

Lactation
Topiramate enters breast milk and can have adverse effects on a nursing baby. It is not recommended during lactation. Lactating females should consult their doctors for further information.

Driving
Topiramate can make you dizzy, drowsy, or have blurred vision. If you have such symptoms, avoid doing activities that demand mental awareness, such as driving a car.

Liver
Topiramate must be taken cautiously in patients who have liver problems since it can exacerbate their condition. Based on the clinical state, your doctor may recommend tests to evaluate your liver function on a regular basis, as well as dose changes or replacements with an appropriate alternative.

Kidney
Topiramate is excreted from the body through the urine after being filtered by our kidneys. As a result, if you suffer from kidney problems, you should use Topiramate with caution. A decrease in kidney function may result in a buildup of this medicine in the body, increasing the risk of adverse consequences. Depending on your condition, your doctor may alter the dose of Topiramate.

Alcohol
It is not suggested to drink alcohol while taking Topiramate since it can exacerbate adverse effects like dizziness and concentrating difficulties.

Before taking Topiramate, speak to your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have: a specific eye condition (narrow angle glaucoma), kidney disorders (like kidney stones), liver disorders, mental issues (such as depression, suicidal thoughts), lung/breathing disorders, a specific metabolic imbalance (metabolic acidosis), a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet (ketogenic diet), long term diarrhea, weak bones (osteoporosis).
Topiramate may cause you to sweat less, increasing your risk of heat stroke. Avoid activities that may allow you to overheat, like strenuous labor or exercising in hot weather, as well as using hot bathtubs. Drink plenty of drinks and dress lightly when the temperature is too hot. If you overheat, find a cool location to rest and cool down. If you experience a persistent fever, mental/mood problems, a headache, or dizziness, seek medical attention right away.
